Hockey Hats & Apparel

Hockey Clothing

Ice hockey is a popular sport in North America, and the market for equipment reflects that. The sport has also grown in popularity all over the world partly due to the advent of synthetic ice.

Goalie pants have larger pelvic, thigh and hip pads for protection. Goalie jocks (also known as Jills) offer less protection for the groin but more padding in front of the cup.

Apparel

Hockey players are required to wear protective gear as the sport involves speed skating on hard surfaces. Players are frequently involved in collisions and often deliberately. The standard safety gear for hockey players is sticks, ice skates and a helmet with a visor and chest protectors, shoulder pads gloves, elbow pads and heavy-padded shorts (also known as jock athletic protectors for males and jockstraps "jills" for women) as well as a pelvic guard (also called a girdle or a "jill", for females), and thigh pads, hip pads, tailbone pads and shin pads. A neck protector can also be worn.

In recent times technology has been used to reduce the weight of the clothing and make it more useful. Numerous companies use carbon composites in stick shafts, and special foams to reduce the weight of shoulder pads without harming protection. Other enhancements include 3D scans that accurately calculate a player's body proportions to ensure that elbow pads, knee pads and shinpads are crafted to fit each player.

As more people become acquainted with the sport, and synthetic ice surfaces are being constructed across the globe to allow players to play in places that lack natural ice, the market for hockey will grow. In addition there has been an increase in the number of female players which is a positive for market growth.

Hats

A hat can be worn both on and off the playing field. We have a large selection of caps that will please both men and woman. We also have a selection of youth hats that could be worn for games or practice by players and fans who are younger. Hats are an important part of the hockey world. They are seen in all teams, including the well-known Hat-trick tradition, where fans throw their hats on the ice after an athlete scores 3 goals in a game.

From top-selling designs to brand new releases, we've got the NHL apparel you must look like a professional on and off the ice.

Jerseys

Jerseys are the uniforms worn by hockey players. The jerseys tend to be heavier and have longer sleeves than other jerseys for sports. The jerseys are adorned with the team logo on front, the last name of the player on the upper back and the number ranging from zero to 100. Some jerseys have a "C", "A" or "A" to signify the captain of the team, and alternate captains.

There are two types of jerseys: authentic and replica. Authentic jerseys have the same design and are made from the same material. Replica jerseys could be made from different materials (usually less expensive) and might not have the exact same design as authentic jerseys.

The majority of NHL teams have three or four sets of jerseys worn during games, and they also have special sets of jerseys for things like heritage designs and charity events. Each jersey comes with an inside back loop of fabric called a "fight strap" that has to be tied to the player's pants in order to stop the sweater from being pulled over their head during a game.

The Authentic Pro is a top-tier NHL jersey made from high-performance fabrics, featuring multilayered tackle twill, as well as 3D embroidery. It also has reinforced stitching. Both women's and men's styles are available. The Authentic Premier is a lower-tier version of the Authentic Pro, and it is designed to replicate the look of the jerseys players wear on the ice.

Shirts

The sweaters, or jerseys, of a team are their most recognizable clothing. They have the team's primary logo on the front, and often include a second logo on the shoulders. The number of the player's name is located beneath the player's name, which can vary from 0 to 100. The captains of the team wear a capital "C" to the left of their jersey logo. Two other players are designated as alternate captains wear an "A".

Most NHL teams have an alternate jersey that is worn on special occasions, such as the Winter Classic and Stadium Series. Additionally there are teams that have a throwback or retro alternative for their home jerseys. These third-sweater options allow teams to experiment with different designs and often serve as a base for the development of their primary sweaters.

Vancouver Canucks' sweater is an elegant combination of modern and traditional design. The black and blue jerseys have a striking style to them that makes it easy to spot on the ice, while the white stripes offer contrast. The Canucks also sport a unique font on their names and numbers, which adds to the clean look of the jersey.
